    FAQs

What is the difference between a Simple Template and an Advanced Template?

A Simple Template uses a basic checklist structure with groups and tasks. The Advanced Template includes additional configuration options such as task categories, predefined causes and corrections, measurement inputs, media prompts, and automated job mapping for estimates.

When should a shop use an Advanced Template?

The Advanced Template is best suited for shops that want to standardize inspections, document technician findings more clearly, and automatically convert inspection recommendations into repair estimates.

Can Advanced Templates enforce technician documentation?

Yes. Tasks can be configured to require technicians to upload supporting media, such as images, videos, documents, or voice notes, before completing the inspection.

Can inspection findings automatically create estimate items?

Yes. Corrections within tasks can be mapped to predefined canned jobs. When selected during an inspection, these jobs can automatically transfer to the repair estimate.

Can I reuse groups or tasks across different inspection templates?

Yes. Groups and tasks can be saved as templates and reused when building other inspection templates, helping maintain consistency across different inspection types.
