FAQs

How is mechanic time recorded in this report?

Time is captured automatically when a mechanic is assigned to a job or labor task. The system records the exact timestamp of the assignment to track work activity.

What’s the difference between Productivity and Efficiency?

Productivity measures billed hours against available or shift hours, while Efficiency compares billed hours to the actual clocked work time.

Can I view detailed job logs for a specific employee?

Yes. Click View Log next to the employee’s name to access a detailed breakdown of assigned jobs, billed time, and clocked time.

Why might Clocked/Work hours be different from Billed hours?

Clocked/Work hours represent the actual time a technician spends working on a job, while Billed hours reflect the labor time charged to the customer. Differences can occur due to job complexity, technician efficiency, or shop labor time standards.

How is technician productivity calculated in the Job Time Sheet report?

Technician productivity is calculated by comparing billed labor hours to the technician’s available or shift hours. This helps measure how effectively a technician converts available work time into billable labor.
