Payments Summary

Navigation:

Side Panel → Reports → Payments Summary


The Payments Summary report provides a consolidated breakdown of total payments collected by payment method within a selected time period. It helps you understand how customers are paying and what percentage each payment method contributes to the total collected revenue.


Filters

At the top of the report, you can configure:

  • Time Filter (All Time, Today, Last Week, Last Month)

  • Custom Date Range (Start Date – End Date)


All totals and percentages update dynamically based on the selected period.

Understanding the Report Table

The table includes the following columns:

  • Payment Method – Cash, Card, Check, Torque Pay variations, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, etc.

  • Total Amount

  • % of Total


Totals Section

At the bottom of the report, you’ll see:

  • Total Amount

  • Total Percentage


These totals reflect the payment data currently displayed based on the selected filters and time range.


Exporting the Payments Summary

Click Export in the top-right corner.



 The Export screen displays:

  • Business information

  • Selected time range

  • Payment Method

  • Total

  • % of Total


A totals row at the bottom with Total Amount and Total Percentage.


This provides a clean, formatted version of the summary suitable for accounting or reporting.


Click Export to download the report.


Sharing the Payments Summary

Click Share in the top-right corner.



The Share screen includes:

  • The same report preview is shown in Export

  • An Email field to enter one or multiple recipients


After entering the email address(es), click Share to send the report directly.

FAQs

What does “% of Total” represent?

It shows how much each payment method contributes to the overall collected amount within the selected date range.

Do voided or refunded payments appear here?

The summary reflects net collected amounts based on the selected time period. For detailed transaction-level breakdowns, refer to the All Payments report.

Can I use this report for reconciliation?

Yes. This report is useful for comparing collected totals by payment method against processor statements or internal accounting records.

Can I filter the Payments Summary by a specific date range?

Yes. You can use the Time Filter or define a custom Start Date – End Date range to analyze payment activity for a specific period.

Does the Payments Summary show individual transactions?

No. The Payments Summary aggregates totals by payment method. For detailed transaction-level data, refer to the All Payments report.
