Task behavior toggles control how individual inspection tasks function during a Digital Vehicle Inspection inside a Repair Order. These settings allow shops to define how technicians interact with a task, including measurement-only inputs, mandatory completion requirements, automated job mapping, and media documentation prompts.
This section contains settings that determine how task results are recorded and connected to service recommendations during the inspection process.
When enabled, the task will only have measurement-related fields, without the standard Red, Orange, or Green status indicators in the Repair Order. Requires numeric or predefined value entry via the Measurements tab under Task Management Details.
Turning on this toggle will allow you to map the Jobs to an individual Correction (Recommendation), or else Jobs will be mapped to the Task. Configured in the Correction (Recommendations) tab under Task Management Details.
Turning on this toggle will add all the mapped canned jobs in the Estimate, either mapped to a group or a task, when the condition in inspection is marked Red or Orange. Configured in the Mapped Canned Jobs tab under Task Management Details.
When enabled, the task becomes mandatory, meaning the inspection cannot be submitted in the repair order without marking the task's status.
Prompt technician to take Image/Video/Document/Voice. When any sub-toggle is enabled, an alert prompts the technician to add the corresponding media for the task when creating an inspection.

When Measurement Only is enabled, technicians enter numeric or predefined values instead of selecting condition ratings. This is commonly used for inspections that require measurable data, such as tread depth, brake thickness, or battery voltage.
This toggle should be used when each correction needs to trigger a specific service recommendation. Mapping jobs to corrections allows inspection findings to translate directly into predefined repair jobs within the estimate.
When enabled, canned jobs linked to a task or group are automatically added to the estimate when a task is marked with a Red or Orange condition during the inspection. This reduces manual estimate entry for service advisors.
A mandatory task ensures that technicians cannot complete or submit the inspection until the task status has been selected. This helps prevent critical inspection checks from being skipped.
Media attachments such as images, videos, documents, or voice notes provide visual proof of vehicle conditions. This documentation improves transparency, helps service advisors explain issues to customers, and supports more confident repair approvals.
