The Task Management Details section allows you to configure how inspection findings are structured and translated into repair recommendations. It defines what technicians can select during an inspection, how issues are documented, and how those findings are linked to measurements or predefined repair tasks.
This section contains 4 configuration tabs:
Causes (Findings)
Corrections (Recommendations
Measurements
Mapped Canned Jobs
The Causes tab lists the potential issues a technician may identify during an inspection.
Click Add Cause
Enter the Cause Title
Click the Tick icon to save
Repeat the process to add additional causes. Causes can be rearranged using the drag handles (six dots) beside each entry.
When this option is enabled, technicians can select more than one finding from the dropdown during the inspection.
The Corrections tab defines the recommended repair or service action for the identified issue.
Click Add Correction
Enter the Correction Title
Click the Tick icon to save
You can add multiple corrections and reorder them using the drag handles.
If the Map Jobs to Correction (Recommendations) toggle is enabled in the task settings, an additional icon appears beside each correction. This allows you to link a canned job to that correction, which can automatically populate the estimate when selected during the inspection.
When enabled, technicians can select multiple recommended actions for a single inspection finding.
The Measurements tab is used for inspection tasks that require numeric or value-based inputs, such as tire tread depth, brake thickness, or battery voltage.
To create a measurement:
Click Create Measurement
Enter the Measurement Title
Choose the Method (Text or Values)
Enter a Placeholder to guide technicians on the expected input
Click Save
If the Measurement Only toggle is enabled in the task configuration, the inspection task will display only the measurement input fields without the standard Red, Orange, or Green condition indicators.
The Mapped Canned Jobs tab allows you to link predefined service jobs directly to the entire task.
When mapped at the task level, the associated canned jobs can be automatically added to the estimate based on the inspection outcome. This helps service advisors quickly convert inspection findings into standardized repair recommendations without manually adding services.
Once done, click Save.
The Task Management Details section defines how inspection findings are recorded and converted into repair recommendations. It allows you to configure causes, corrections, measurement inputs, and canned job mappings that technicians and service advisors use during the inspection workflow.
Causes (Findings) represent the issue identified during the inspection, such as worn brake pads or a leaking hose. Corrections (Recommendations) define the recommended repair or service action required to resolve that issue.
Yes. If Multiple Causes or Multiple Corrections is enabled, technicians can select more than one finding or recommendation from the dropdown when completing the inspection.
Measurements should be used when inspections require numeric or value-based data, such as tread depth, brake rotor thickness, battery voltage, or fluid levels. This allows technicians to record precise values instead of condition-based ratings.
